A FATHER'S PRAYER

It’s not about the war. It’s about the love.
Until we know this, we will not know peace.

As long as the strategy is war,
the mission accomplished will only ever be pain.

When the strategy becomes love
Mission accomplished, will be peace.

An eye for an eye,
pain begets pain.
But love begets love,
and love heals pain.

War, produced in the minds of fear
carried out by the hands of fear
and waged by those who mean to create fear
will only ever do just that.

Our commitment to fear, can only cause us more pain
But a commitment to love, can create peace
Love for each other,
love for our children, all children
all neighbors, all enemies
respect and value for all life,
for all homelands, holy lands, flags, and fathers
it sounds hard, but it’s not
its easy

This should be the primary objective
of all humanity.
Everyone, every last one,
must do everything they can,
anything they can
to end the War

Not by aggression,
but by surrender

Lay down your swords
Give up your shields
They are illusions
They do not defend, nor protect
Your armor suffocates and weighs you down

And in only the most vulnerable of forms
As nakedness
must you take up the only true flag of Solidarity
the white flag

you must walk with it
deep into the valley of the shadow of death
With no rod, no staff
Indeed fearing evil,
but love comforts you
No table before you
In the presence of your foes
No oil, no cup
No goodness, no mercy
no shepherd in green pastures
no still waters to restore your soul
nevertheless, on paths of righteousness
for everyone’s sake.
These last days
So peace can dwell
in the house of all men
forever

Amen
