LIFE DRAMA = SCHOOL DRAMA

remember when you were in high school, and it seemed like it was the whole world and it would last forever and everything mattered so much: the grade on the test, going to that party, the holiday concert, asking her out, the championship game ... and now ... looking back, you realize it was all just fun and games. Not to trivialize things, if it felt like it mattered, then it mattered. But maybe it wasn't *such* a big deal. Maybe, you could've benefitted from hearing your current self say to your younger self, "yo, relax dude. don't stress so much, it's not the end of the world."

well, maybe we could benefit from keeping an ear out for our future selves today. not to trivialize things- if it feels like it matters, it matters. but you know- trade agreements, immigration reform, marriage equality, national anthem silliness, corrupt politics ... maybe, just maybe, in retrospect it won't seem like such a big deal. I mean seriously, whether you like him or not, he'll be gone in 7 years, tops. You'll be gone in 70. And before you go, you might just wish you could whisper back to your current self, "yo, relax dude. don't stress so much, it's not the end of the world."
