SAMSARA IS NIRVANA

This little light of mine,

I'm gonna let

It shine

Darkness wins.

The guru, banishes darkness.

The doctor cures disease.

But when the darkness flees,

where does it go?

When flood waters ease,

they go back to the Sea.

Back to the ocean dark.

The darkness never ceases.

The high tide, the low tide.

Still an ocean black.

The darkness which I know

Never stopping, only grow.

Slow, but grow. Darkness,

dark of outer space, the cosmo show.

White shines in dark, but every Star,

every last one, a sun, Destined to explode.

Weaving darkness behind,

these Stars only, darkness,

light is finite. Only darkness is eternal.

Moments of joy, a child's chuckle,

a lover's kiss, a brief twilight sky.

the proud moments: the fresh cut grass,

the shiny new car, and then

the first scratch, the tall weeds return.

The arguments, the child's

wrinkled corpse. The guru banishes

nothing, only eases

there is only darkness.

Like the Bhagavad Gita,

I am become death, the devourer

of worlds. Like the never-ending,

samsara is nirvana, dark

if Nirvana is eternal, and so is dark,

then heaven is black, not white.

White is temporary, dark is eternal.

Sleep... The great sleep.

For some reason,

I still fear death
